Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a centuries old method of encouraging the body to  promote natural healing and improve function. This is done by the insertion of very fine needles and applying heat or stimulation to acupuncture points. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, these specific acupuncture points correspond to energy channels, or meridians, which flow through the body. Blockages in the energy channels, it is believed, are responsible for illness and disease.

The number of treatments needed depends on the person and the condition. An acute pain condition may require only a few visits but  a complex chronic condition may need several months of treatment.

Acupuncture is known to improve energy flow, stimulate the body's natural healing abilities, and promote physical and mental well-being.

Acupuncture is primarily associated with pain control but also can be used as support for many other health problems:

For Pain:

  • Shoulder pain
  • Back pain

  • Wrist pain
