Diets to achieve weight loss are very confusing.  Diets are difficult to maintain and can actually cause health problems if they are not balanced.  What does work in weight management is a “Non Diet” approach focusing on the development of a healthy lifestyle.

Because there is an enormous amount of nutrition misinformation in the news, this is achieved by first understanding the healthiest food choices. By learning to respond to the physical cues for hunger and fullness you can control total caloric intake. Incorporating realistic physical activity into your schedule will allow you to slowly lose unwanted fat and then be able to maintain that loss long term. Weight management takes time. It is a “recovery” process, not a quick fix.

The integrative doctors begin with traditional exams and medical tests and may use other assessments to check the systems of the body to determine how the body is functioning.
