When making an informed vaccination decision, it is important to consider whether one or more of the following factors will affect the safety and effectiveness of a particular vaccine or a combination of vaccines your child will receive.
Please consider these relevant factors:
• Do I know I have a choice?
- Never vaccinate a child with a fever or cold or while on antibiotics
• Do not allow multiple vaccines to be given in one day. i.e. MMR if available
• Use Thimerosal/ mercury free vaccines whenever possible
- Be aware that vaccine companies can claim to be Thimerosal free and still contain 3% Thimerosal
- Ask to see package insert yourself
- Ask to keep the vaccine vial and/or syringe for energetic antidote therapy later
• Has my child had a bad reaction to a vaccination before?
- Some reactions are not immediate. i.e. fever, fussy crying rashes bowel changes; see NVIC.org information
• Does my child have a personal or family history of?
- Convulsions or neurological disorders
- Vaccine reactions
- Severe allergies
- Immune system disorders
• Do I know how to identify a vaccine reaction?
• Do I know how to report a vaccine reaction?
• Do I know the vaccine manufacturer’s name and lot number?
Specific strategies for pre vaccination and post vaccination can be detailed with a visit to one of the doctors.
