Natural Hormone Therapy Regain Energy
Regain Balance
Could low metabolic health/low body temperature be affecting your health?
Common symptoms of fatigue, poor metabolism, hormonal problems, weight gain, depression, poor memory or focus, anxiety, sleep problems, digestive disorders, muscle or joint pain, headaches, numbness, hair loss and skin problems may seem unrelated but they may all stem from the same root problem of low metabolic energy.
All body processes require metabolic energy. To restore energy to a healthy level the causative problem must be corrected. Age, toxic exposure, nutritional deficiencies, viral, and auto-immune damage may all contribute to the cause of a metabolic energy problem. If severe enough, any one of these can overwhelm the body's metabolic mechanisms and become the leading cause of the problem. However, these are not as common as the low metabolism caused by adrenal fatigue and/or thyroid problems and dysfunction.
NIHA'S Integrative Approach to Metabolic/Adrenal/Hormone Balancing
Proper evaluation of the hormones and adrenals and treatment using natural hormone therapy or bioidentical hormone replacement to address the root cause of the problem, restore physiologic balance to help reduce symptoms and restore normal healthy function.
Medical History: Holistic medicine focuses on the origin of the problem rather than the result, thus we look at your overall medical history, creating a “health timeline”. This process creates a picture of what your body and its various systems (endocrine, immunological etc) have experienced and how they relate to each other. This provides a bird’s eye view of the evolution of the processes we are currently dealing with. We work with you to obtain a thorough medical history. We will also review any existing lab results and may use other tools to diagnose.
Physical Exam: This exam consists of a basic, traditional physical exam (excluding Gynecological exam).
Assessment/Discussion of Findings: Once a diagnosis is made, a treatment plan to enhance metabolic function, adrenal, thyroid, and /or sex hormone function can be developed using supplement support and lifestyle change. As you are an active participant in your discovery/recovery process, it’s important that you understand what is preventing optimal health and how to achieve it.
Outline Treatment Plan: The practitioner will outline the different phases of treatment. If there are multiple problem areas, this plan will prioritize the order of treatment. We will provide you with a copy of your progress notes, supplement recommendation sheets, receipts and doctor’s statement to submit to your insurance company. If supplements are prescribed at this time, these can be purchased outside of our office, but all are available here for your convenience.
Follow-Up Visits: Once your treatment has begun you will be monitored with follow up visits to make modifications as needed and chart your progress.
