I went to an acupuncturist 3 years ago, she told me I was going to get breast cancer in my right breast. I had gone to her on a friend's recommendation for my sciatic issue. I never went back to her, I thought she was crazy. Fast forward 3 years. I found a lump myself sometime last winter and thought I'd keep an eye on it. My mother has fibrocystic breasts so I thought it was nothing to worry about and there is no history of breast cancer in my family. I ended up being very sick over the spring with shingles and several bouts of anti-biotic resistant strep. Being a busy mother of 2 young boys ages 4 & 5 and having a family restaurant that I worked in and closed out 4-5 nights a week, I just thought I was run down and tired.
I finally scheduled a mammogram and was called back for several more tests & biopsy. The news I received on August 8th, a week after my oldest son started kindergarten, was devastating. Of course there was the "why me" I didn't eat that terribly, I was active and exercised..... The first person I told was my father who has been undergoing traditional treatment for metastasized prostate cancer since 1999. He gave me a book called The Anti Cancer Diet by David Shevan-Shrieber. I read it and started changing my eating habits. A week later I told my mother and she gave me Suzanne Somers book Knockout which I started reading. I scheduled, cancelled and rescheduled my lumnpechtomy several times before deciding that that would be the only medical procedure I would undergo. I started researching on the Internet to find a holistic or nontraditional doctor in the area that could help me and I came across NIHA on the Internet and made an appointment and met with Dr. Beals. I knew immediately I had made the right decision. I had a lump and 3 lymph nodes removed, it was stage 2b breast cancer. My Pet scan last month was completely clear. Anita Capizzi RN, a health counselor at NIHA, has given me great resources to stay on my healthy eating path especially over the holidays!

Healing Ancestral Wounds through the Energy Field
Family Constellations vividly demonstrates the profound impact of our families and ancestors. Hidden family events and dynamics from past generations may manifest in our current lives as illness, relationship problems, addiction, financial instability, lack of purpose, depression, etc. Bert Hellinger, an international figure in the healing community, developed this method to uncover hidden dynamics which entangle us in fates not truly our own, but the legacy of others who did not resolve them in their lifetimes.
