Orthomolecular Therapy

"Ortho" means to straighten or correct, as in the term orthopedist (straighten bones) or orthodontist (straighten teeth), a term coined by Linus Pauling, the only person to win two different Nobel Prizes. In straightening out or correcting the molecules, toxic substances are removed and nutritional deficiencies are replenished. Many of these nutritional substances are capable of restoring neurotransmitter deficiencies  (e.g. serotonin, endorphins) which are primarily responsible for helping us cope with pain and stress, and with experiencing joy and pleasure. If possible, laboratory testing is used to specifically identify the toxins and the nutritional deficiencies that interfere with  balanced brain functioning.

Orthomolecular Nutritional Therapy

Orthomolecular therapy is the use of vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids, and foods to modify the internal environment of an individual who has compromised function, which is believed to be caused by deficient molecular concentrations of essential substances in the body.  Oral and intravenous (I.V.) protocols of naturally occurring  biochemicals are used extensively and can be individually tailored to meet your specific needs.
