Crohn's Disease

Crohns's Disease is a chronic inflammation of a section of the digestive tract. The inflammation may heal but leave scar tissue that narrow the passageway of the digestive tract.

This can cause pain, cramping, diarrhea, fever, malabsorption, anemia, and losses of energy and weight. The cause is uncertain but risk seems to increase with a history of food allergies.

The doctors at NIHA will look at this condition from an integrative medical perspective to look for possible underlying causes that may contribute to Chrohn's Disease. They begin with traditional exams and medical tests and may use other assessments to check the systems of the body to determine how the body is functioning.
