Infrared Sauna

The Infrared Sauna System for whole body radiant energy delivers the same infrared rays experienced in the traditional American Indian sweat lodge. The cleansing and purifying benefits attributed to the traditional sweat lodges in American Indian and Scandinavian cultures have long been known. Infrared heat is simply a form of energy that heats the object directly, without having to heat the air in between. The skin is our largest organ and is responsible for eliminating up to 30% of body wastes . Infrared heat causes toxins to be released from the cells and exit the body through the sweat glands without burdening the liver and kidneys.

Our bodies react to the increased heating through the natural cooling process of perspiring. Through the perspiration process, acid and waste residue like toxins, sodium, alcohol, nicotine, cholesterol and the potentially carcinogenic heavy metals are removed from the cells( especially zinc, lead, nickel, cadmium etc.) . As the pores of our skin open and discharge waste products, the skin sheds any old skin cells, leaving it glowing and immaculately clean, with improved tone, elasticity, texture and color.

Over the last 25 years Japanese and Chinese researchers and clinicians have done extensive research on infrared treatments and reported many provocative findings. In Japan , there is an “Infrared Society”, composed of medical doctors and physical therapists, to further research and support the health benefits of infrared as a healing method. Whole-body infrared therapy has been used for over 80 years by German physicians in an independent developed form. Due to the deep penetration of the infrared rays generated by the Thermal System, over 1.5” into the skin, there is a heating effect deep in the muscular tissues and the internal organs. The infrared energy applied in the Infrared Thermal System may induce up to 2-3 times the sweat volume of a traditional hot-air sauna, while operating at lower temperatures, making it more comfortable to breathe. Medical researchers confirm that the use of sauna provides cardiovascular conditioning, and extensive research by NASA in the early 1980’s led to the conclusion that infrared stimulation of cardiovascular function would be the ideal way to maintain cardiovascular conditioning in American astronauts during long space flights.

The Journal of American Medical Association states: “A moderately conditioned person can easily sweat off 500 grams in a sauna, consuming nearly 300 kcal, which is equivalent to running 2 to 3 miles”. The Infrared Thermal System might stimulate the consumption of energy equal to that expanded in a 6 to 9 mile run during only one single session of 30 minutes. The Infrared Thermal System can play a pivotal role in both weight control and cardiovascular conditioning.
